I've been working too much lately and not focusing my creative energy. Rolling paint on walls is not anything like painting on a canvas... no room for creativity (unless you want to piss off the homeowner's, lol.).
Basically, it's been a crazy week. I have two funerals to go to in the next two days. I think I may have to skip one for the other. So if my work seems a little gloomy, that should explain why.
I did a bunch of stuff tonight, the two recent posts are the only ones I wanted to put up though. The rest were not coming across how I wanted them. I actually put two of them up, then took them down right away because I changed my mind, haha.
I think since I really have not had a chance to paint as much as I would like (lack of studio), some of my painting techniques are starting to come across in my digital work. Which I think is a good thing... It will further the process of finding what works for me. The only thing is, in paintings I could have so much more value in the negative space, from brush strokes alone. But I did start to experiment with subtle texture changes, and I plan to investigate further into this technique.
Keep it real everyone, Mike.
